Jill Bennett
Independent family &
funeral celebrant

When I set out to train as a celebrant, I thought first of my Grandfather’s funeral.
I was upset that the person officiating could have been talking about anyone, not the man I knew and loved. I am determined that no one else should feel the way I did all those years ago.
The same goes for weddings, baby namings, vow renewals – any event where families come together to share life’s ups and downs.
I have spent much of my career in arts and theatre - encouraging people to tell their stories in a creative way. I will work closely with you. I will ask the right questions, listen to your answers, and I will deliver a memorable ceremony for your friends and family.
I am a secular celebrant, which means I do not apply any religious faith to my work - however I am happy to incorporate religious elements in a ceremony if you so wish. The choice of elements is always yours.
Being a celebrant is a very special privilege. I look forward to working with you.
“Jill was kind, thoughtful and extremely helpful. Before meeting with her we knew very little about secular ceremonies, but she answered all of our questions and inspired wonderful ideas of how we can personalise our wedding ceremony. We had a lovely evening talking with her and we really value the time she took to meet with us.”
